iTunes album art

This whole idea came to me while i was not doing my chem home work at lunch the other day. I was naturally listening to my iPod (i have a 30gb black iPod video just up front info), staring off into space, pretty much doing anything but thinking about how to figure out how to get the theoritical yield for trans-dichlorobis(ethylenediame)cobalt(III) chloride (don't ask me what that is, cause, i dont know, and, dont tell me what that is, cause, i dont care anymore, that lab is over and done with).

Have a Nice Day Anyway, as my iPod switched songs, i noticed something. The pervious song, we'll call it Bon Jovi's Bells of Freedom had album art, and i looked at it. The next song that came up we'll call it Garth Brook's The Fever, did not have album art. That made me sad.

drag artwork here So, i got to thinking...what kind of visual aid could i add so that i dont have to look at just the scrolling text of the name of the song, the artist, and the album name, to make it more interesting. Then i remembered that when a song doesn't have album art in iTunes, there is a box that says: "Drag Album Artwork Here" So i thought: "Why not create artwork that says that? This way i would have something to look at while i listened to my music (besides nature, and my surroundings, and those other beings called people who sometimes scare me that is).

I also remembered that there were 3 different types of messages displayed in that little window the: "Drag Album Artwork Here" the "Nothing Selected" and the "Album Artwork Not Modifiable". So i decided to take each of those three, and make album artwork out of them!
below you can see each one:

I have made the "works of art" in 3 different degrees of quality; 250 x 250 px, 400 x 400 px, and 600 x 600 px. Here are links to each: (click to view, right to click to save)
Not Modifiable (250px) Not Modifiable (400px) Not Modifiable (600px)

Drag Album (250px) Drag Album (400px) Drag Album (600px)

Nothing Selected (250px) Nothing Selected (400px) Nothing Selected (600px)

and after you have all your artwork on your computer, why not use Google's Picasa to organize it all!
