Grand Canyon

Bright Angel Trail

The Bright Angel trail switchbacks all the way down into the bottom of the canyon. We didn't hike all the way down, only about 1/2 mile down. We weren't prepared for that 10 mile one way trip.

South Rim

The South Rim of The Grand Canyon is more popular then The North. It has the picturesque views you think of when you hear "Grand Canyon" and it's really breath taking. In 2009, we took a side trip to The Grand Canyon while out in Las Vegas for the Nellis Air Force Base Air Show. I mark this trip as the beginning of my obsession with the National Parks.

North Rim

The North Rim of the Grand Canyon is the lesser traveled to part. Partly because its so much further away, and partly because it's not as tourist friendly. But the views up there are just as breathtaking.

Grand Canyon

The Grand Canyon is one of the few places that is absolutely breathtaking.

Rafting Tip

After being to both rims of the Grand Canyon, the last part is to see it from the bottom up. In August 2015, we took a 3 day rafting trip that covered about 100 miles of the Colorado River ending at Lake Mead.

Helicopter Ride

By accident we got a Helicopter ride along the Grand Canyon. It was expensive, but worth it. If you ever get a chance take one, do it, no questions asked.
